The Battle of Evermore

(Jimmy Page and Robert Plant)

Jen Ayers, Vocals
Kathy Moore, Guitar
Andy Stoller, Mandolin

I feel very lucky to get to work and play with so many different communities in Seattle. Our city has some of the finest burlesque performers in the world and for many years I was a singer in the band for Houses of Thee Unholy, a Led Zeppelin Burlesque. Produced by Paula Sjunneson at The Triple Door, the show starred some of the city’s finest performers and a sickening band. We sold out 8+ shows in a row each time we did it. It was a complete thrill, and it took three singers to make one Robert Plant!

The band always did a music-only set in the middle of the show and “Evermore” was a favorite to do with one of my fellow sirens on the rocks, Jen Ayers. Jen is one of the great rock singers and a singular writer, pianist, and composer. Kathy Moore is the most shredding guitar player, and I am giggling that I have her on this record strumming an acoustic but go check her out online and be mind-blown.

Andy Stoller is the consummate musician, a delight in any room and usually plays bass for all kinds of big-time musicians on tour. I was thrilled to get into the studio to re-create the “middle-earth” magic of this song with these vibrant artists.

This rock trio is a little slice of the music caravan that was the monster rock squad of the Led Zeppelin burlesque extravaganza House of Thee Unholy. They are my show family, and we spent seven years performing this ode to Led Zeppelin for thousands of turned-on superfans.

Jen Ayers

Power vocalist, composer, pianist, actor, writer, teacher, Jen truly does it all and makes it look easy. You must follow her AND you must see her latest show, SHe Said, a groundbreaking new musical theatre show that she wrote and will remount in Seattle and tour soon.

Kathy Moore

Shredder of all shredders, Kathy will melt your face off with her guitar chops. Oh, and she is a fierce singer, pianist and composer as well. She is one of the most in-demand players in the city and she still finds time to make original music with her band Kathy Moore Super Power Trio.

Andy Stoller

Bassist and my favorite nebbishy teddy bear of a person, Andy truly rocks inside and out. He tours around the world with both of Ann and Nancy Wilson’s solo projects and he records with everyone here in the city. Catch him holding down the rhythm sections all around town.
